"Uhm, where exactly is that, 'Liglet'?", is a question we hear often. The answer we give mostly is "near La Trimouille (about 5-10 minutes drive) and near Le Blanc and Montmorillion (the old city of famous writers), both a 30 minutes drive". If that doesn't ring a bell we could say near "Saint Savin" (because a lot of people heard, read or saw about this former abby, because of it's world famous frescos), but we normally say "Right between Poitiers and Limoges", which are quite big cities and every frenchman will know these places. Every European  who has taken a tour through Europe will probably also know this places, because the TGV stops there and also if you drive to Spain you will see those places on the sign posts. Limoges is famous for the Limoges porselain. Poitiers and Limoges are about 1,5 hour drive (depending on the time of the day).

Liglet is situated in the region Poitou-Charente, in the departement Vienne. Actually near the border with the regions Centre and Limoges. That makes it is located in the heart of France. Also see the map below.
